Tiffany Petricini

Currently, I am an Associate Teaching Professor in the field of Communication Studies at Penn State Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania. Some of my favorite courses are Interpersonal Communication, Group Communication, and Mass Media and Society. I try to facilitate and encourage a joy for learning which is my personal passion.

While teaching is my primary focus, I am very active in the scholarly community and have published several articles and a book, “Friendship and Technology” with Routledge.

I have been an invited speaker on the international radio program “Spark” on CBC Radio One and the first external speaker to ever be invited to the SUNY Plattsburgh at the Ethics Institute. I also serve as the social media expert for NBC affiliate WFMJ 21 News.

I also participate in many types of service for the campus, community, university, and profession and serve several university leadership roles. I am co-chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence for Penn State University and represent my campus as a senator for the Pennsylvania State University Faculty Senate.
